I am using the Runtastic Heart Rate app and have noticed it is hard for the app to pick up my heart rate. The distance from the flashlight to the camera has increased along with the protruding camera is causing problems IMO. Has anyone else noticed this?

Heart rate apps not working well with iPhone 6/6 Plus

I use Oximeter and found a definite problem. I have been able to get similar results to those from an iPhone 5, but not often. I have reached out to the developer to see if they have tackled this issue yet.
They replied:
