I’m on my third Apple Watch. I had a Series 0 from launch through November 2018. Occasionally I’d see blips with the heart rate sensor. Upon launch I would see a heart rate roughly half of normal that would immediately correct during the second rating. (38, 78, 79, 77, etc...)
Upon getting my Series 4 in November of 2018 it didn’t happen again. Normal readings. The Apple Watch was actually very useful in discovering PVCs.
That watch died mysteriously over the weekend, and Apple sent an express replacement. I had yet to use the ECG on it and only sporadically used the heart rate feature. I did use it tonight and noted another blip. My heart rate registered at 46 surrounded by higher rates, and the source seemed to be ECG while the others were background, before the ECG was even opened.
I did have two lower readings as well which were questionable but not as dramatic.
Is this a known issue?
