I was doing a running workout with the native app on the Apple watch and the heart rate did some weird things. First, it kept saying my heart rate was 85 bpm when I was sweating hard from working out. It wouldn't go above 85 bpm and a couple minutes later the heart rate turned grey. I paused the workout to see if it would stop but it was still grey. I had the same problem with my series 3. I thought the series 4 would improve the heart rate sensor.

Anyone else have the same problem?

Not the same problems here, but I did have an issue with incorrect heart rates when I started running. turns out that I needed to wear the watch tighter when I run than what I wear normally. It was too loose. I wear it one hole tighter now & the heart rate works great.

I have seen the grayed out heart rate at times during runs, but for me it has always been temporary and it starts up again in a few seconds
