Heart rate not wearing watch

took watch off at 1130 for bed last night and placed on wooden night stand. No charger as I was at my girls so it was just laying on the stand.

I show heart rate every 10 min until 1245.

Brand new watch series 4.

I noticed this as well with my new Series 4. When I take it off and put it flat on a table for a while it somehow registers heart rates.

The watch detects coming off my wrist and the watch does lock, but I see the green lights coming on anyway sometimes.

Does anyone else experience this? Anything wrong with the watch or is it a OS sensitivity problem?

Mine did this while in my gym locker for an hour today. Even showed an hour of sleep in sleep tracker ap.
