Apps HeartWatch Complication Refresh

I love HeartWatch but have noticed that the complication doesn't update as frequently as the Heart app. I've put both on my watch to compare and the heart app will show an update from 4 minutes ago while the HeartWatch app hasn't updated.

Is it getting data from the same place or event?
