Hi Friends, I have a new Studio and its my first time with a Mac desktop. In an effort to save money I built an external disk using a TB3 enclosure and a Sabrent 4TB Rocket drive. The external drive works well and is very fast, but it is always hot, even when I'm not accessing anything from it.
I've always built my own PCs usually with mechanical HDs or sata SSDs and this is my first time using an NVME drive, let alone an external one. Is this heat normal? Will it impact the lifespan of the drive to always be sitting there hot? Even though this drive was cheaper than the Apple drive prices, it was still pretty darn expensive so I can't help but be a little worried :)

Thanks!
