Had my MBA since the refresh last year and love it, only have 1 issue.

Occasionally, perhaps once a month when i wake my MBA from sleep it goes nuts, the heat it kicks out and fans going at full blast.

It doesn't do this as soon as i open the lid but as soon as i begin using programs it gradually ramps up and never cools down.

Looking at the activity monitor, nothing is using high amounts of CPU, even with all processes selected. Even closing all programs fully cmd+shift+Q doesn't help.

I've reset the PRAM or VRAM or whatever it's called in the past but of course the problem still happens very occasionally.

Just to clarify, it isn't a problem every time i open the lid. I never shut down the laptop, it's always sleeping and sometimes with lots of programs hibernating. This heat+fan problem does only happen very occasionally, perhaps once a month.

A reboot always cures it.
