Heat and Time Machine on Tahoe vs Sequoia

My M4 MacBook Pro started getting warm for no reason with Sequoia 15.6 (if I recall correctly). I’m not the only one with this issue. How is Tahoe in this respect? Because if I could have a nice cool laptop again, that would be lovely.

Also, is the ‘this backup drive was not ejected correctly’ TM bug fixed? (The drive in question is a NAS.)
