I'm debating waiting for the new update to get a new MBP and one thing I'm wondering is if the faster montevina cpus will generate more heat? I hear the current penryn models run fairly cooly.

Montevina is a chipset. Peryn is a processor.

People keep confusing the two. When you buy a computer today, it's a Santa Rosa chipset with Peryn. When Montevina is released it will be a Montevina chipset with a Peryn.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. So will the higher FSB generate more heat?
