I've noticed that the grey rubber piece that is on the hinge of the MBP's lcd display has some white marks starting to appear when closed? Anyone else notice this?

I do intense graphics, rendering, and gaming. My guess is all the heat that i pushed out the back running by and discoloring it.

Anyone?

mine does it as well, i think they're just scratches. the rubber should technically be able to withstand the heat, otherwise they wouldnt have put it there.

Hm, mine looks good. This thing heats up a lot when I WoW, but it sounds like you're heating yours up much more often than me.

The marks are permanent? I guess there's not a great deal you can do, other than have the rubber replaced when you're nearing the end of your warranty. Probably no point getting it done multiple times before then... repairs seem to take their toll.
