just got a new email from other world computing last night, and they're selling a 1.46 ghz upgrade card for macs. i thought that was pretty funny - it's the first time i've ever seen you able to upgrade your mac to something faster than what apple is shipping...

nope... in fact, they list it as being 1.467 ghz...

interesting. 625....ouch. and im also assuming thats a single processor.

looks like their 1.467 ghz claim is just saying that it may be 1.467, but it may be as low as 1.4... but i guess that's how the cookie crumbles when you're talking about making procs...

reading a little more... it seems like giga stamps a range on their upgrade cards these days, and provides jumper settings for overclocking, which they apparently no longer concider 'abuse' under the terms of warranty, unless you increase the core voltage...
