HEIC Image Damaged

Hi,

Twice now I have taken a group of pictures and they all come out with an odd "icon" rather than the image I post. There are slight variations to the image that is produced so i don't think it is an icon, but it is a very weird picture and they're all similar. What could cause this? I have posted some examples.

If you get an error while viewing, give apple a hand for doing such a bang up job on a job well done.

Thanks for any help, but I am guessing the photos are gone (or never existed).

Welp the images did not make it through, here is what they look like in File Explorer.

A few more details would be helpful. Running iOS 18.x (which?) on what iPhone? Taking photos with what app using what in-app settings? the attached screen shot is done inside FE File Explorer when accessing the library in Apple Photos? What have you tried to adjust so far?

Pictures 1 - 5 show the event spanned over 36 minutes with their data included. A group of pictures was taken at 5:06pm and came out normal. A group of pictures was taken at 5:20pm and came out very odd. A picture was taken at 5:42pm and came out normal.

I am not aware of any way to order the photos numerically in this post, it will be necessary to personally reference the filenames.
