Hello Macsters,
I used to have an Android phone. But I just got an iPhone (I missed the platform) around the same time I upgraded to Mojave. So I don't know if this problem also happens in High Sierra. Anyway, when I quickview a .heic image I shot with the iPhone, the edge of the image has some green artifacts (see attached image). If I leave the image in quickview for about 5-7 seconds, the artifacts disappear. Anyone else experiencing this? It looks fine in Preview. Sadly, my currently favored image viewer 'XnView' does not support .heic.
Anyway, I suppose there isn't a "magical" setting that makes this go away, until it's fixed?
I'm aware the iPhone can shoot .jpeg, but since .heic is half the size and allegedly better image quality, I figured I'd give it a chance for a while.
EDIT: I just realized, the artifacts don't always disappear until you interact with the quickview window, like resizing it or clicking inside it.. But at one point I know I saw it disappear without interaction. Huh..
