I was wondering if it would be possible to use HEIF image format in Apple Maps (at least in satellite view)? Also would it make sense to use HEIF in AppStore, iTunes store etc since they are mostly static images compared to vector based images in default view of Apple Maps. I watched wwdc2017 videos but didn't see any information regarding it. My general question was whether Apple plans to use HEIF other than image capture on iPhones (e.g. In their default apps)
