HEIF vs JPG on iPhone 8 Plus Camera

I have been using the iPhone 8 Plus for a week, been intermittently going to and fro between HEIF and JPG. Most of the time, I barely notice the differences, I couldn’t tell which is better. The size of HEIF is notably smaller.

What is your experience? Which is ultimately better?

HEIF is slightly better in quality and significantly better in file size. HEIF is better.
