if you don't know already.... Flytunes .... better than satellite radio..
sorry XM, tomorrow first thing in the morning, I'll cancel my subscription...

here's the channel line up

http://www.flytunes.fm/channels.aspx

Now iphone starting to make sense,
gps, satellite radio, phone, pda, mail, ipod, games... all in one.. :D

just enter flytunes.fm in safari and you're good to go... with 3G No buffering whatsoever... yeeeehhaaaawww

Cool find. They don't include album artwork but who stares at their phone when they're listening to the radio anyway.

Oh forgot to say " You can do other stuff while playing in the background, because it plays in safari and safari stays open when you click home button

I put some presets and I am all set...
btw, I am getting 1 bar 3G in my house and it hasn't buffered yet, not even once... coolll :D

But you can't surf other websites with Safari while it plays (assuming I'm not missing something) which is the #1 thing I'd tend to want to do. Shame.

Ok alternative though.

yeah, you can't use safari BUT you can use maps, mail, and other applications which is a big deal to me.

this morning, we were looking for a new breakfast place in the car, so I used urbanspoon application to find a place and it connected to GPS to give us the route, all this while listening Flytunes in the background.
Do that with pandora or AOL radio...:D

I take it it stops streaming/playing if you open up a 2nd safari window/tab and go browse somewhere in that 2nd window?

Tuner (shoutcast app)

It's nice. I like Pandora better though.

I use this app called TUNER, not as popular as AOL or Pandora perhaps due to its download location, last page of music apps. I have a choice of 8000+ (shoutcast) radio streams to listen to.

no, it opens up QT in safari, and there are no options to open up a new tab/window. so you can use everything else BUT safari.
