Hi all, just joined the forum just bought my first ever mac computer after years of using windows. Any advice would be most welcome as it's quite a bit different,advice on using,setup and internet security greatly appreciated. Thanks Rad. ps advice on anything else also most welcome.

Did you get a PowerPc Mac Or a New Intel Mac? And what version of Mac OS X are you runing?

i've got the 21" intel i5 running OS X Lion,should be a nice interesting learning curve.

This part of the forum is geared to PowerPC Macs. Anything made in 2005 or older.

General advice and info can be asked for in the less specific areas. This is not the proper area for Intel Macs like you have.

For set Up: Turn it on enter your info and make a user name

Security: Just make sure you run software update so you can have the lastest updates
