I need some serious help here!!
Here's my story:

I bought a Mac mini recently, before i bought it. My family uses the only iMac we had, called "Family's iMac", with four accounts(4 family members).
The iMac is connected to an external hard drive, which is divided into 2 partitions, one for storage and another for time machine backups.

When I setup the Mac mini last night, I copied everything of my father's and mother's accounts (that is 2 of the 4 accounts) from my time machine (external drive) to the Mac mini (migration assistant).

Then I enabled file sharing on both Macs, first the mini, then the iMac. System preference on the iMac changed the iMac's name to "Family's iMac (2)" because 2 Macs with the same name on a network is not allowed. (As migration assistant copied EVERYTHING from the iMac to the mini, the mini had the name "Family's iMac") Then I changed the name of the mini to "Mac mini" and the name of the iMac back to "Family's iMac"

This morning when I woke up, I saw Time Machine was backing up files of my mother's account (The external Hard drive was connected the the mini overnight). But I thought I didn't turn on Time Machine on the mini!! Must be the work of migration assistant!

I stopped the backup and connected the external drive back to the iMac, trying to backup. And I saw Time Machine was trying to perform an initial backup!! (235 GB!) I stopped the backup and I went to finder to the the Time Machine drive. Inside the backups.backupdb folders there were two subfolders, one is "Family's iMac", and the another one is "Mac mini". All my backup files were in the "Mac mini" folder!!

I thought it was a mistake and I selected the "Mac mini" folder inside the backups.backupdb folder, right click and pressed [MOVE TO TRASH].
Then I knew I made a mistake because I didn't check the folder "Family's iMac". I found out there was nothing in the "Family's iMac" folder except the .inProgress file.

I went to the trash and the "Mac mini" folders with all my backups were still there. But I couldn't find a way to restore my backup as "backups.backupdb cannot be modified"!

Now I am doing the "initial backup" of my iMac and "preparing to copy the backup files/the [Mac mini] folder to the Time Machine drive BESIDE the backups.backupdb

What should I do now?
Is there anyway to put back my backup files/folders (YYYY-MM-DD-HHMMSS) back into the backups.backupdb folder?
What was actually happened? Why my backup files was moved to the "Mac mini" folder?

I really need help here! Thanks!!
