I have a camcorder (Canon VIXIA HF10) and I have recently shoot a lot of footage in 24p, I knew that to bring this into Final Cut Express it would convert it to Apple intermediate codec which I wasn't too happy about in the first place but figured I could live with it, but then I started converting it and once it was done I looked in the browser and the frame rate says it is at 29.97 fps or what it would be if I shoot my footage in 60i, also the picture looks sort of messed up when there's a lot of movement I would assume this is due to the fps conversion. Is there any way of fixing this short of shooting in 60i???
Please help
Thanks

you're seeing the 3:2 pulldown that is added to 24p so that it can be recorded in a 60i stream. this is normal. it will look fine on a television. for web exports, de-interlace it on output.
