I have a 1st generation :apple: 2g iphone that I bought used. 3 days after I got it, I was unable to access the internet or make phone calls. No wifi, no phone calls :( My question is...
Since I am on the T-Mobile network, where can I take the phone to get it repaired? If I take it to Apple they will lock it back up and upgrade the version...2 things I want to avoid.
Any ideas on what could have happened to cause it to suddenly stop working?

If this is an EDGE iPhone, why are you worrying about having it upgraded? The original iPhone remains unlockable on any software revision, AFAIK. But FWIW, I would think at this point, the price of buying a replacement on eBay will be comparable to getting it repaired, unless it has an extended warranty.

Now, anyway, have you already tried restoring it, just to make sure it isn't a software issue?
