I got my new iPad today. It´s 16Gb Wi-Fi only.
I went to iClarified: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=13989
to see instructions on how to jailbreak (I´ve done this numerous times with iPhone). I did as told, but the restore won´t finish. It freezes a bit before finishing. I tried again, iTunes gives me error 21, so I put the DFU-mode again -> freezes in the same spot.
Now I´m getting nervous, because even the iTunes´ own restore to 4.2.1 doesn´t work since it freezes in the same spot!

Please tell me how to fix this...

Check your hosts file for any lines that refer to apple.com and remove them. Use Google to find it and how to edit it.

Did that. Still the same. I deleted two rows:
74.208.10.249 gs.apple.com
#127.0.0.1 gs.apple.com

iPad still freezes in the same spot. ****...

Got it working!
For some reason it worked in the first try with my iMac, but had problems with my MacBook Pro 2010-2... Phew! The relief.
