Hi all,

I am interested in the 2011 base level 27" imac.

My question though is whether the graphics card in the base 27" will be fast enough.

All I want is to be able to drive the built in screen and one additional monitor with no stuttering or lag whatsoever.

Would the base model's graphics card satisfy this need?

THANKS

For what? What type of programs do you plan to run? What external monitor are you planning on using? VGA, DVI, Thunderbolt? What kind of response time on the screen?

The external monitor is a hanns-g to be connected over vga. I plan on running standard programs (xcode, chrome, ichat, itunes etc). All I want is smooth mission control transitions and things like that.

thanks for your help so far, it is very appreciated.

6750 is more than enough to drive two screens.
The only instance that may cause lagging issue is running games on dual screen.
