Hallo! New here. And pretty new to Macs...

Aaaanyway, I've got some videos off my old PC that I want to get converted to another format (to use on my phone and to try out a new video PMP I've got), and can't seem to find any programs for it. I need to be able to convert between AVI, WMV and MOV, and preferably to DVD as well. Any ideas?

For converting video formats, you'll need Quicktime Pro, and to do wmv, you have to have a paid version of Flip4Mac. The only other possibility (free), is this site: http://www.media-convert.com I haven't used it, due to my broadband limitation, but it might work for you.

You could download the new version of Handbrake. The beta version is hard to find but once you do its a great program. It backups DVDs, and can convert videos in virtually any format. You can convert using sources like TS-Video or something like that.

I've used the media-convert web site posted above for WMV2 files and it worked great. It's free too.
