HELP! Adobe Flash Player 10 is Crashing Firefox 3.0.1.1

I just got this computer last week and installed Firefox and now Adobe Flashplayer 10 is crashing Firefox 3.0.1.1. One site said the problem doesn't manifest instantly but takes several days which is exactly what has happened to me. I Googled the issue and the problem is common with Firefox, Safari and Cameo going back as far as mid 2008 and to the present based on blog comments. I couldn't find a solution though. Does anyone know how to fix this?
