Just after a bit of advice or others views on this.
Just got myself a (refurb) 1Tb time capule form Apple.
I have used it as my primary router in th place of my Lynksys 54 (the blue one with x2 small antenna) which is about 5/6 years old. The range/strength of signal of the TC is not as good as the Lynksys was. OK there might only be a couple of meters or so in it, but I was under the impression with the TC having "n" it should be a better/stronger signal. Even if it did not have "n", all thinks equal, it should be stronger anwya, not weaker than my Lynksys (which does not have "n")?

Also it seems a bit slower. For example I have copied a movie onto my TC HD and although I appreciate is is going over the network and will be slower to open and play it seems a long time for finder to finally see it (about 5/8 seconds), whereas on my attached HD or USB external HD, its only a 1 or 2 seconds. Is this normal/acceptable lag?

One other thing with the guest network, I password protect it, and can acess it, but after switching TC off say overnight, and going back on the next day, it says does nto recognise my password, even though I have not changed it but I know it is the correct one.

I wondered if these are features anyone else has come across, or any tpis suggestions
