Please help! I have been looking for a solution for months:

I have an iPhone 4s and a MacBook Pro running OS 10.6
I have a normal wireless network set up at my house. The wireless network system components are in neither of the two rooms mentioned below.

Here is what I would like to accomplish:

I have two adjacent rooms in which I want to play music from the same source simultaneously. I need one speaker for each room (that has good sound quality and can fill a room). I want to be able to use my laptop and phone as the music source interchangeably. (Potentially an iPad down the line as well.)
I need to be able to play each speaker separately or together for when I want only one room playing or both playing. I don't particularly want to use bluetooth to accomplish this but am not opposed. I also would like to be able to control the volume of each speaker from the music source if possible. I need the speakers to have AC power. If they have battery/portable capability that is just an extra, as I will rarely move them around.

What do I need to purchase???
