Help! All my ical calenders are gone!

Two Days ago I booted my iMac (10.2.8) up as usual, launched ical (1.4.2) and noticed that all of the sudden I had no appointments for the week! All three Calendars were still there, but the had all been emptied. Completely. All sorts of events.
Is there any way you can think of how I could get them back? Maybe autobackup files or something?
