I had a 3GS jailbroken and unlocked 3.1.2 but it has gotten stuck in a boot loop.

I can put it in DFU and itunes recognises it but itunes/apple will not sign my 3.1.2

What should I do? I dont want iOS4 yet but need to keep my jailbreak and unlock.

Sorry for the annoying question but I have been away from the forums etc for a while and have forgotten everything I knew

To the best of my knowledge the 3GS has used pwnage tool and blackrain so far.

Any help greatly appreciated.

copy the file to your desktop, make the changes, and then drag it back to the folder and overwrite the existing one.

I tried 3.0 before you posted and got a not eligible itunes error.

I tried 3.1.2 after you posted and got a fully lit screen, followed by an apple logo, followed by an apple logo with progress bar and a 'waiting for iphone' itunes message - so something is happening - dont know what.

Is this right - should I be hopeful?

OK it worked but was not recognising my sim so I need to unlock and jailbreak again from here?

I tried redsn0w and it got stuck in a boot loop again!

I am going back again to the first step and a fresh 3.1.2 via saurik - what should I do then to unlock and jailbreak?

pwnage tool? to edit the 3.1.2 and then restore again with itunes (via saurik)
