Basically i need to create a video from final cut which can be played and more importantly edited on a windows machine and as of yet i can only export .fcp files from final cut! Which are no good at all! I am in desperate help as i have an interview for a university tomorrow where i need a showreel! Thanks

Go to file export, choose quicktime (NOT final cut) and you get a dialog box. Under the format option there should be a list of all sorts of file formats, MPEG-4, WMV, AVI, Photo JPEG, etc. Choose the one you prefer to work in and that best suits your needs ie. file size vs quality. Hope this helps, good luck with your reel!

I recommend exporting it as WMV.
