Help...App download remain waiting forever!

I don't know when this started, because i haven't use the Mac app store for a long time. Today when i tried to download ibooks author, the ibooks author icon appeared in the launch pad but remained waiting for like 5 hours. Tried reboot, sign in and sign off, nothing worked. Anybody has any idea what the hell is going on??

Had that to, but with an update to an app. I just canceled it and tried again in a couple of days.
