Help!!! App store login/update problem

I'm currently using my sister's old iPod. The problem is that I can't update my app because the app store asks for my sister's password. I don't understand this because I restored the iPod before using it AND I installed the app using MY account. I can still download other apps, but updating won't work. Any suggestions?
