Hi,
Suddenly my WD elements external drive is not mountable, after an extensive search and trying different solutions I failed to mount it.
I tried to look on the internet for a solution for this problem, the only solution is paid software called iboysoft which will actually show the drive and all the files and I will have to buy a one-year version. it seems like ransomware bugged the drive and now I have to pay the money.
Is there is any clear manual online that I can follow to get the files? I found a couple of threads in Github but I have no idea how to use it.
here is the data from the first-aid disk utility
Running First Aid on “” (disk2s2)
Repairing storage system
Performing fsck_apfs -y -x /dev/disk2s2
Checking the container superblock.
Checking the space manager.
Checking the space manager free queue trees.
Checking the object map.
Checking volume.
Checking the APFS volume superblock.
The volume Elements was formatted by diskmanagementd (945.200.129) and last modified by apfs_kext (1412.141.1).
Checking the object map.
warning: Unable to read apfs_keylocker prange for fs (0x402) : Bad file descriptor
