daft problem. wife's company have just got a really cool display board, which is powered by a mac mini. its all designed by an outside firm, and theres software which pushes the information on templates, from ipad to the mini, where it rolls over 5 or 6 massive slides with info on them, all using a google chrome browser.
its a travel company and its a noticeboard for the guests in a hotel. it ticks over from when the rep is in to what entertainment there is to flight info.
however, despite doing all the cool stuff they have done, its got one simple problem. it needs to be told that the day has changed.
even though it shows the clock and day, and that obviously shows the correct time and date, it doesnt realise this on the google chrome presentation.
so if we go on thursday and i set it up, it will show on the entertainment page "tonight" being whats on on thursday, and "tomorrow" being fridays....
go up 3 days later, its showing still "tonight" as thursdays entertainment.
it can either be nudged by using the ipad to refresh the browser, or, i found, leaving a mouse hanging out of it, the rep can just press the refresh button on chrome, and thats enough to do it.
any way to automate it though?
