Help! Applications Folder Disappeared!!

HELP!!! My application folder in my dock just randomly disappeared, and I can't figure out how to put it back! I can go to my apps via Finder, but I want to basically copy and paste my apps folder from Finder to my dock, but all it does when I try to either c & p or move from Finder to my dock is the poof thing...HELP?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Drag the Applications folder from a finder window into the stacks' area of your dock.
