HELP!!! Apps not syncing to iPhone

I got the 2.1 update and I am resyncing all of my apps back. It seems like the apps are putting on double the memory on my iPhone listing in apps and other and 42 of my apps are not installing. Please help me. I am so sick of problems with this phone and I thought this update would fix everything. It turns out to just cause different problems.
