help: battery/wireless

Hi,
I picked up a used 17inch macbookpro and have been very happy with it. Except for recently...

The battery started getting extremely hot and then began to swell. I purchased a battery on ebay (it was not macbranded). It came and looked identical. Everything seemed fine. Then after a week or so, the laptop simply stopped working with the battery. I have to keep the power supply plugged in, or it doesn't work.

OK, So months go by. Now all of a sudden the wireless card stopped working. My pc and iphone connect to the wireless, but not the macbook.

This is so strange. How do I go about fixing the machine for a reasonable price?

You should've gone to the Genius Bar in the first place, and that's what you should do now.

Its your first and probably biggest mistake.

You should've gone to the Genius Bar in the first place, and that's what you should do now.
