Help! Best way to move Photos Library from old Mac to new Mac?

My oldest Mac is up to date on Catalina and has almost 200gb of pictures in Photos. I was able to locate the Photos Library file.

What is the best way to move this to a new Mac?

My plan is to take the Photos Library file from the old Mac, copy it to an external hard drive, then connect the external hard drive to the new computer and move the Photos Library file to the new computer.

Both computers are up to date on Catalina and the photos App...please let me know if there’s a better way.

There is no better way. Just copy it over as you described and you'll be fine.
