I've had this MBP since July when I bought it used. Never had ANY trouble, whereas the Mac Pro from which I'm typing this needed a complete reformat and reinstall before it achieved stability.

Anyway, yesterday I was working with several PC apps via Fusion, as well as Pages and Firefox. I also tried to get a screenshot using Grab, but couldn't figure it out (??). When I was finished for the day, I quit all apps and shutdown. The last image I saw was the desktop image, no menu ( the Dock is normally hidden) as I was heading for bed.

This morning, the screen is black, but the white power light is on. I shut it off, then on again via the power switch. No login sound, black screen, and the white power light is on.

Something may be holding it hostage, or it's gone blind and mute....

I live 5 hours from the nearest Mac store, and I need this thing working for a road trip MOnday. Can anyone offer suggestions for diagnosis and rescue?

thanks,
Scott
