HELP "Blinking" Finder

So I was browsing with safari, and for no reason the icons on my desktop started disapperaring and reappearing, about every 5 seconds. In activity finder, it is because the Finder keeps quitting and then restarting, and I'm completely unable to use it.

Rebooting or restarting doesn't help, as the blinking continues. Even stranger, the problem doesn't occur in any of my other user accounts.

I'm using 10.3.5... does anyone have any suggestions?

Try logging in as another admin used and removing the file /Users/your_broken_user/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist. Then log in as your broken user and see if it's still screwy.
