Hey gang,

I got a replacement 3GS a week or 2 ago, and i never used bluetooth on it until today. I turned on bluetooth just now to see if it'd connect to my mac and when i turn on bluetooth, it says "now discoverable" but doesn't find any devices in range. Other devices, like my mac or dads iPhone 3GS also can't see my iphone even though it says its discoverable.

What do i do here? I did update to 3.0.1 earlier today if that means much.

Thanks guys, i don't really want to replace this phone this time, this phone is perfect aside from this bloody bluetooth issue.

EDIT: Just restored and still not working. So i'm guessing its defective :/ DAMNIT.

I think the iphone's bluetooth can only connect to headsets for A2DP wireless music playback.

The computer should only detect it if internet tethering is turned on.

Did you figure out how to fix it? My new iPhone 3GS is also not working properly for bluetooth. My bro-in-laws both have iPhone 3GS and are able to play the air hockey game over bluetooth, but my new iPhone doesn't want to connect. Tried just about everything. Do I have to have it replaced?

Any ideas?

Thanks!
