Hi All,

I have to boot from a disc which allows me to log into a VPN.

When booting from the disc, it gives the option to log into wifi before booting the disc, but this step isn't working.

It doesn't first recognize my wifi network but it finds others in the area, and when I try to enter the Name of my network and the key it shakes like it was entered correctly.

I can boot from the disc with no issue, but once I get to the VPN login, there is no internet connection.

My router broadcasts a strong signal and I'm only feet away from it, works fine and connects automatically when in OSX

Mid 2010 MBP. Sorry about the ugly screenshots. Any tips?

I don't know why it's not letting you log in, but it's ultimately irrelevant. That Wi-Fi feature is only for Internet Recovery; if you boot from DVD then you'll need to somehow log in once it's booted up. It's possible that your DVD only works via Ethernet.

Seem you're right. Thanks!
