I had recently downloaded and installed Mac OS x Lion. After about two weeks I had decided I had not like the new OS and decided to reboot my Macbook Pro using my Snow Leopard CD. After successfully going through the install screen and all that it gets stuck at the grey screen with the apple logo and the spinning loading wheel with the wheel stuck in one position, I've already tried to reboot and the same thing repeatedly happens. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using the disk that came with your computer? I'm not sure the generic SL disk can start all current Macs.

Try starting by holding command-R to access the Lion Recovery partition and boot from that; maybe you can then repair your disk, restore from your backup, or install via your SL disk. I haven't had occasion to use it yet, but it might help you.
