Hello Everyone,
I have recently bought an iMac 24" 2.8Ghz wth the 512 Mb 8800Gt graphic card from nvidia (bought 10 days ago), and would really like to install windows 7.

I have tried to partition the 500Gb disk in 2 parts using the boot camp assistant, creating a second partition of 156Gb, and then, when he prompt me to insert the installation dvd, i inserted the one i have.

I then click start windows installation, and he shuts down, restart, gives a black screen with a flashing "|" on the top left of the screen; i tried waiting 2 hours, and nothing happened. i tried to do the whole thing 4 times, and everytime it did the same thing.

ADDitional INFO:
Windows 7 eta 1 32 bit installer, downloaded from microsoft website, and burned with toast titanium 8 on a blank single layer dvd.

mac is compeltely updated

Boot camp ASSISTANT is version 2.0

Any help is really appreciated, thanks

Philip

P.S: Before anyone asks, i searched for 1 hour on the net and on the forum, but nothing went out

EDIT:
Tried to install with the same disc on a Mac Pro single cpu bought 10 days ago, and it just went fine, so the disc is defiitely not the problem...
