Hi all,

Can you help me.
I'm looking for the following parts:

- DC Board
- HD Cable

Best regards,
voidRunner

Whereabouts are you located? I have a 15" AI PowerBook for parts in my loft (graphics are shot but the rest works), and I have a fully working DLSD to spare if anyone wants one, but I'm in the UK and it would cost too much to send it abroad ;)

Cheers :)

Hugh

Hi Hugmac,

I live in Portugal / Lisbon.
I would be very interested in your DLSD.
I salvaged my DLSD and several other macs from this ( see pic below ). The DLSD is an ongoing project :)
as the DC board is working but does not pass power and there was no HD cable ( it's different from
other PBs and the DVD does not work when the HD is connected ).
I'll try and find out how much it would cost to send it here.

Portugal is no problem while the UK is still in the EU ;)

The DLSD has 2GB RAM and a 128GB SSD. The only fault is that you have to catch the disc quickly when ejecting a DVD or it gets drawn back in.
It will also come with USB, firewire and SD card PCMCIA cards, plus a new battery.

It will cost at least £20 to send because I think it should be tracked.

Cheers :)

@vddrnnr any news on whether you would like my DLSD, or shall I offer it up elsewhere?
It does seem to be pretty expensive to send from the UK to Portugal, more than I at first thought unfortunately :(

One of my two Powerbooks is already spoken for by the way ;)

Cheers :)

Hi Hugh,

I'm still interested :)
I'm trying to get a shipping cost but ups's site fails to give me the quote.
How much did you saw it would be?

Best regards,
voidRunner

I will pm you so we can swap addresses and zips, that should get us a quote ;)

Also I've just noticed that the DLSD has a 'void' sticker on the bottom - perfect for you :D

Cheers :)
