My Mac mini restarted itself. Now I cannot login because neither my Logitech MX Master mouse or my Logitech MX Keys keyboard are recognised so I cannot do anything. It's as though Bluetooth is 'off'. Both were paired fine before the reboot. Help!

Fixed it. Downloaded the Logitech software onto my Air. Plugged in the unifying receiver and then set up the mouse and keyboard again. I then put the receiver into my mini and was able to use both devices. Stupid really. BT should just work.

It does mean that I'm probably best off using the receiver now, rather than bluetooth.

Thanks for following through. You probably saved me a lot of grief for when my MacMini finally arrives. I wonder when this BT issue on the M1 will be fixed? To bad we have to sacrifice a port just to get keyboards and mice to work!

It's very annoying. Just a tip. Don't pair your keyboard with 3 devices via bluetooth. As soon as you do that you cannot use the USB receiver anymore. You'd have to do what I did and 'reset' it via the software on another computer.

I use a USB 3.0 hub and the receiver works ok with that. But yes, I agree, annoying that you have to give up a port for something that should just work.

Many thanks! I have paired my MX 3 Mac Mouse, and the MX Mac Keyboard with several devices. Is there a way to reset the mouse and keyboard’s three device pairing buttons? Also I assume I should delete my iPad from these two devices, and not use BT at all for the mouse and keyboard?

The M1MacMini allure is starting to fade fast with me and I haven’t even received it yet. Note I’m reading quite a few external monitor issues.

Again, thank you for your help!

I heard that Mac minis in general, all the while, need(ed) a wired keyboard/mouse in some situations, whether M1 or Intel or PowerPC.
Still looking forward to mine :) Arriving in several weeks :):)
