I have several options: I'm 13 years old and i basically just surf the web, watch videos , iTunes, Garage Band and school work papers.

Macbook Pro 15 2011 4GB of RAM Hi-resolution graphics 2.0 quad core

Macbook Pro 13 core i7 2011 4GB of RAM 2.7 dual core

Is an actual Macbook air right for me? And if i wait for core i7 Macbook airs with 1.8 ghz quad core is 1.8 enough?

Thanks.

Your 13? Save your money for when you really need one in college. For now get a cheap windows laptop.

unless child labor laws have dramatically changed recently, i doubt he is buying it with his money. i'd go for the 15", since he probably won't be taking it to school. it would be more fun for games, and also he'll have no trouble running windows on it if needed.

I think you have made me clear and ill get the 15".

Among the options you suggested, I'd go for the 15" MacBook Pro. It should last you through high school.

Get a PC. A desktop at that. Are you going to be lugging your MBP to class everyday to take notes?

Desktops are far better for gaming. Games. GAMES. Gaming. GAMES. BETTER. AT. GAMES. GAME. Fun, fun, fun, fun, looking forward to the weekend.

If you want to game get the 21" or 27" iMac. They have more power, especially if you want to create with iLife.

If you still want something portable, just get an iPad.
