Hey,
I've been playing around with different calibration settings with this monitor. I have an i1Display Pro handy and am trying to calibrate it to both sRGB and AdobeRGB on CAL1/CAL2 respectively.
Using Windows, the Dell calibration tool (which does hardware LUT) consistently gives wrong results according to CalMAN SpectraCAL. dE average for both color spaces are around 5-6. These were measured with D65 white point, sRGB gamma/sRGB gamut; or D65 white point, 2.2 power gamma/AdobeRGB gamut.
Software calibration via i1Profiler in conjunction with hardware LUT tables from the Dell calibration yields dE average of less than 1 for sRGB, but AdobeRGB remains very off as i1Profiler does not support color space calibration. The white point seems shifted towards higher temperatures for sure with i1Profiler.
Is it just me? Am I not doing something right here? Is CalMAN measuring white point wrong or something, or is DCC not doing its job?
