Help! Can not connect to internet (wireless) even if my Mac says I am connected

I was recently in Miami and, in order to connect to a wireless server, started to play around with my mac. Up to yesterday it was ok, but I started playing around a bit more within my network settings and I think I must have done something wrong, as when I come home and try to open internet it does not want to connect. First I had no IP address, but found one through Terminal (I typed in the word ifconfig and pressed enter). Then, it showed that I was connected by when I go into Safari, it says that I am not connected. I have read and tried a few other articles within this forum but nothing has helped. I know it is not the router because all other laptops within the house are able to connect, and I can also connect through Ethernet. Then, I have searched everywhere and have come up with nothing. Can someone please tell me what I need to do?
