Hi Gang,
Apple/FedEx seems to be in the process of screwing me and I could use a little community help: I just recently shipped a returned (cracked) iPhone XS under my AppleCare+ Express Replacement, but Apple tell me that the box arrived with them empty. That means they want me to hand over the $900 of credit that they held. They are not being helpful at all.

I *know* that I shipped the box with the phone, I even have a shipping record showing the shipped weight as 450g (1lb). I'm hoping that's all the proof that I need, but they aren't listening to me yet.

Can anyone here share any of these:
  • The weight of the empty shipping box that Apple use to return phones under AppleCare+ (not the product box) - I have the weight of the phone, so I can figure out the combined weight.
  • The weight shown on your shipping record when shipping a comparable sized phone (not a Plus or Mini) back to Apple?
  • Or - for the gold medal - a photo of your shipping label when returning a phone to apple with AppleCare+. The weight is right there on the shipping label (I think)
Thanks for your help!
Rob
