I can't activate my new iPhone 13 Pro Max with esim. I am on the Verizon network, but I bought this iPhone unlocked carrier free from Apple. My current iPhone Xs is also esim so I don't have a physical sim. How do I switch to my new Phone? I tried contacting Verizon but they seem to be closed right now and somehow I messed up my old iphone and no longer have service on it. Please help someone. Thanks.

make sure you turn off find my iphone on your X before shutting it down. Then try powering off and on your 13. If it's not connected right away, try giving it 30 min or so.

I had the same problem and gave up and finally went to the local Verizon store. All they did was call into Verizon support and activated the card using the IMEI and several other identification numbers. You can also just pop the sim in from your old phone. You will eventually want to upgrade the SIM card to 5g though if it isn’t 5g already.
